Blue Demons Remain Unbeaten at Home with 4-3 Win Over Creighton

DePaul moves to 5-0 against BIG EAST opponents this season
CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis gutted out a 4-3 win over Creighton on Saturday afternoon at XS Tennis to remain a perfect 7-0 at home and 5-0 against BIG EAST opponents.
The Blue Demons (12-6) won the doubles point prior to claiming courts four, five and six to claim their third-straight victory before the Bluejays picked up wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 but it was too little too late.
DePaul wasted no time, taking an early 1-0 lead after earning doubles victories on courts two and three. Yuliya Kizelbasheva and Emily Casati won their seventh-consecutive match as a duo with a 6-2 win at No. 2 to improve to 11-4 in dual season. Mayya Perova and Eleanor Nobbs paired up for the second-straight time to dominate on court three, 6-1.
In singles action, freshman Sasha Stula doubled DePaul's advantage, making quick work of Creighton's Wilcox on court six, 6-1, 6-0.
Casati continued her winning ways, clinching her 11th-consecutive victory, with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win on court five. While Kizelbasheva clinched the match for the Blue Demons with her third-straight triumph at No. 4, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.

The Blue Demons will travel south for spring break to take on Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, March 27 with first serve set for 4 p.m. CT.
