Blue Demons Conclude Regular Season Saturday

NEWARK, N.J. – DePaul men's basketball team wraps up its regular season slate, Saturday, March 9 at Seton Hall. The game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. CT tip on FS1 with Matt Schumacker and Tarik Turner on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio broadcast on 670 The Score.
Chico Carter Jr. is coming off arguably his best conference game of the season where he notched 23 points against St. John's on Tuesday. Carter Jr. shot 6-of-8 from three-point range, making a career high number of three-pointers. Despite a lopsided game against St. John's, DePaul (3-27, 0-19 BIG EAST) shot a season-high 58.8 percent from three against the Jonnies, its highest team three-point percentage since Jan. 18, 2020. The Blue Demons also shot 50.9 percent as a team, its highest this season in a conference game.
Seton Hall (19-11, 12-7 BIG EAST) is coming off a 66-56 win Wednesday against Villanova as they look to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time under head coach Shaheen Holloway. Kadary Richmond leads Seton Hall with 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
The Pirates won the first meeting this season between the two teams, 72-39, as Seton Hall also leads the all-time series 24-10. 21 of the 34 all-time meetings have been decided by less than 10 points.
The Blue Demons will remain on the east coast as they prepare for the BIG EAST Tournament which tips of Wednesday, March 13 from Madison Square Garden.
