Women’s Tennis Earns No. 2 Seed in 2024 BIG EAST Championship

Blue Demons begin quest for fifth BIG EAST title on Friday
NEW YORK – DePaul women's tennis earned the No. 2 seed in the 2024 BIG EAST Championship, and will open postseason play on Friday, April 19 at 11:45 a.m. CT in Cayce, S.C.
The Blue Demons are 15-7 overall in the 2024 dual season and 7-1 against BIG EAST teams. DePaul looks to claim its fifth BIG EAST title in program history and first since 2019 along with a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
Head coach Marisa Arce and the Blue Demons will face the winner of Thursday's first round matchup between No. 7 Villanova and 10th-seeded Seton Hall. In the regular season, DePaul swept the Pirates 4-0 in West Orange, N.J. on April 6. Arce and Co. have not faced the Wildcats since 2021, where the Blue Demons came away with a 4-1 victory in the semifinals of the conference championship.
First serve of Friday's quarterfinal round from the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center will begin at 11:45 a.m. CT.
