Sekou Konneh Signs with DePaul

Blue Demons add 2024 freshman
CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball continues to build its roster for next season with the signing of Sekou Konneh for the freshmen class in 2024. Konneh is a 6-8 power forward from Milwaukee, Wis. who plays at St. Thomas More High School.
"Sekou is a young and gifted prospect with high upside," said head coach Chris Holtmann. "He needs to continue to get stronger and improve his skills be he is a tremendous kid who is really hungry to grow. We are really excited about what Sekou can grow into here."
Konneh comes out of Wisconsin rated as the No. 5 rated recruit in the state and the best in Wisconsin at the power forward position. Most recently, Konneh concluded his high school career as he helped lead St. Thomas More to its first state boys basketball championship since it joined the WIAA.
He finished his prep career with five-straight double-doubles, including a 20-point, 14-rebound performance in the title game. In his junior season, Konneh averaged a double-double with 16.7 points and 14 rebounds per game on his way to All-State honorable mention honors. Konneh concluded his high school career with 1,488 career points and 966 rebounds.
