Blue Demons aim for fourth win in last five matches
CHICAGO – DePaul men's tennis hosts Butler in its fourth BIG EAST match of the season on Saturday, April 6. The 'Boys in Blue' return to the Washington Park neighborhood for the final time this season, with play scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. CT at XS Tennis Village.
The Blue Demons (9-9) play host to the Bulldogs after taking two of three matches on their Spring Break Tour over Florida Gulf Coast and Brown.
Pablo Torres Almeida went a perfect 3-0 in singles during the stretch of play, with Leon Huck and Sven Moser adding two wins to their impressive 10-4 doubles record this season.
Butler (8-14) arrives to Chicago coming off a 4-3 victory over IUPUI on Wednesday, April 3. The Bulldogs have compiled a 3-1 record in BIG EAST play this season, with wins over Georgetown, Xavier, and Villanova.
Since 2014, DePaul has a 9-3 record against Butler, with an undefeated streak in four home matches.
Last time out, the Bulldogs claimed a 4-1 victory on April 21, 2023, over the Blue Demons.
