Blue Demons win fifth-straight with 4-0 victory over the Red Storm

FLUSHING, N.Y. – DePaul women's tennis continued its hot streak, winning its fifth-consecutive match with a 4-0 victory over St. John's at the USTA National Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

The Blue Demons remained improved to 14-6 on the dual campaign including a 6-0 record against BIG EAST programs.

DePaul claimed the doubles point for the ninth time in the last 10 matches winning court three by default before Greta Carbone and Hannah Smith won at No. 1, 6-4. The duo is now 9-3 at the No. 1 spot this spring.

In singles action, freshman Sasha Stula won by way of default at No. 6 to put the Blue Demons in front 2-0.

At No. 3, Carbone won her eighth match in the last nine outings, 6-2. 6-0, over the Red Storm's Nicoline Sartz-Lunde.

Graduate student Emily Casati stretched her win streak to 12 matches to clinch the match 6-0, 6-4 on court 5. Casati is 12-3 in 2024.
