Women’s Tennis Wins Sixth-Straight with Defeat of Seton Hall

Blue Demons move to 7-0 against BIG EAST programs this season
WEST ORANGE, N.J. – DePaul women's tennis kept rolling on Saturday afternoon, claiming its sixth-straight victory and 10th win in the last 11 matches with a 4-0 decision over Seton Hall.
The Blue Demons moved to 15-6 overall while remaining unbeaten against BIG EAST programs with a 7-0 mark.
DePaul started strong once again, claiming the doubles point behind a trio of strong performances up and down the lineup. Emily Casati and Yuliya Kizelbasheva set the tone with their ninth-straight victory by way of a 6-0 decision at No. 2. The tandem of Greta Carbone and Hannah Smith overpowered the Pirates at No. 1, 6-1, to improve to 9-3 at the top spot this dual season. At No. 3, Eleanor Nobbs and Mayya Perova won their third-consecutive match with a score of 6-2.
In singles play, Smith took care of business right away, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 over Seton Hall's Anastasia Sereda.
At No. 4, Kizelbasheva extended her individual win streak to five matches via a 6-0, 6-2 decision.
Casati won her 13th-consecutive match, besting Arabella Moen 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 to clinch the victory for DePaul.

The Blue Demons will play their final regular season match on Saturday, April 13 when Xavier visits XS Tennis Village. First serve is set for 11 a.m. CT. DePaul will honor its senior class of Greta Carbone, Emily Casati, Yulliya Kizelbasheva and Mayya Perova prior to the match.
