Women’s Tennis Lands Four on CSC Academic All-District Team

Carbone, Casati, Nobbs and Smith honored for classroom and court performance
CHICAGO – Four student-athletes on the 2023-24 DePaul women's tennis team have been named to the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Team for their performance in the classroom and on the court.
Greta Carbone, Emily Casati, Eleanor Nobbs and Hannah Smith each earned accolades for the Blue Demons.
Nominees for the Academic All-District ballot must appear in 50% of matches and maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Carbone totaled an 11-5 singles record in 2024, going 5-1 against BIG EAST opponents. She went a combined 9-3 between courts three and four while amassing a 21-8 doubles mark with teammate Hannah Smith. The duo was named BIG EAST doubles team of the week on April 8. The senior, carrying a 3.94 GPA, will graduate in June with a bachelor's of science degree in Management Information Systems.
A graduate student from Deerfield, Ill., Casati capped her final season of collegiate tennis with a 14-3 record in dual play this spring. After dropping her first three matches of the season, Casati went on to win 14-consecutive matches, going 12-1 at No. 5 singles. She is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Marketing in DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and boasts a 3.90 GPA.
Nobbs earns her first All-Academic distinction after a stellar 2024 campaign which saw her collect All-BIG EAST Second Team honors. The junior went 11-10 in dual season, playing primarily at No. 2 singles to go with an 8-5 record at No. 3 doubles. Nobbs is majoring in History and has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
An All-BIG EAST First Team selection, Hannah Smith went 13-13 in her sophomore campaign including a 7-7 record at No. 1 singles. The Silchester, England native combined with Carbone to go 12-5 at No. 1 doubles this spring. Smith has declared a major in Sports Business and holds a 3.86 GPA.
With their selection to the All-District team, all four Blue Demons advance to the national ballot for All-America honors.
