Mays Breaks School Record, DePaul Completes Day Two of NCAA West First Rounds

Four Blue Demons Close Out their Outdoor Seasons
FAYETTEVILLE – DePaul Track and Field's Billie Martin, Charlotte Anderson, Kash Allen and Jetta Mays completed day two of the 2024 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds, Thursday evening. Mays broke the DePaul women's 100m school record for a second time this season.
Martin got the day started bright and early with the women's hammer throw. The senior closed out her final season as a Blue Demon with a mark of 55.76m. Continuing on the field, Anderson threw a final mark of 42.21m in the women's javelin. Both Blue Demons found success this outdoor season, claiming their first Outdoor conference titles and making their NCAA West debuts.
On the oval, Mays broke the DePaul school record in the women's 100m with a new personal best time of 11.40. The Blue Demon went on to also compete in the 200, running a 23.48 race. Mays wraps up the season with four school records and a BIG EAST Outdoor title in the women's 200m.
Allen finished her season on a high note, achieving a new personal best in the women's shot put with a final mark of 15.61m on her final throw of the day. Allen closes out her debut outdoor season with three consecutive first place finishes and a conference title in the women's shot put.
