Hopf and Borowiak Close Out Their Outdoor Seasons, DePaul Heads Home from Fayetteville

The Blue Demons complete the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds
FAYETTEVILLE – DePaul Track and Field's Jaiah Hopf and Olivia Borowiak closed out their outdoor seasons after competing in their designated events on the final day of the 2024 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds, Saturday night.
Hopf participated in the women's triple jump, earning a final mark of 12.65m. The Blue Demon ended her outdoor campaign with her second NCAA West Preliminary appearance and two silver medals at conference in both the long jump and the triple jump.
Borowiak followed up with the women's 5000m at 8:10 p.m. CT, closing out her season with a final time of 16:34.33 in her second NCAA West Preliminary Rounds apperance. Throughout the spring, Borowiak etched her name into the DePaul school record book a total of five times across three different events. At the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, she took silver in the 5000m and bronze in the women's 4x800m relay.
UP NEXT: The Blue Demons head back to Chicago and Darius Brown will prepare for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. on June 5-8 hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field.
