Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award for 17th-Straight Year

CHICAGO – DePaul Volleyball was awarded with the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for the teams' outstanding performance in the classroom. The Award recognizes collegiate and high school volleyball programs who maintain a year-long grade-point average above 3.3.

The Blue Demons also earned Honor Roll distinction for the second-consecutive year, which recognizes programs in the top 20 percent of GPAs for their division. This year marks the 17th-straight season DePaul has earned the team academic award, which is tied for the eighth-longest Division I streak in the nation and best among BIG EAST programs.

DePaul Volleyball also had an outstanding season on the court, making its first postseason appearance since 2001, competing in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. Jill Pressly and Rachel Kraskowski both earned All-BIG EAST honors, helping DePaul to its second BIG EAST Tournament bid in three seasons. Kraskowski was also honored as an AVCA All-Region member.
