Hannah Smith Tops Group at LTA County Cup

Smith wins 14 of 15 matches to claim title in her home country of England
CHICAGO - After coming off an impressive 21-8 sophomore campaign in doubles action, junior Hannah Smith continued her winning ways, totaling 14-1 doubles record in the LTA County Cup finishing atop the group standings.
Smith, representing Hampshire and Isle of Wight in England, played three doubles matches each day from July 22-26. Competing in the Eastbourne group, Smith and her partner Freya Davies began play by claiming victory in their first ten matches of the County Cup. After dropping a mid-day match on Thursday, July 25th against Danielle Hack/Sally Pethybridge of No. 1 seeded Surrey, the duo rebounded to close out competition on a four-match winning streak.
The 2023-24 All-BIG EAST First Team selection looks to build on the success from international play heading into the 2024-25 collegiate campaign for DePaul.
