Women’s Soccer Earns Two Academic Honors

DePaul ranked sixth in country for Division I GPA
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer was recognized for having the sixth-highest grade-point average in NCAA Division I women's soccer and was also named as one of 22 teams to earn the 2023-24 BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award.
The 2023-24 Blue Demons posted a team GPA of 3.77, tying with Coastal Carolina for sixth in the nation. New Mexico, Denver, Mercyhurst, Missouri, and Presbyterian (SC) rounded out the top five in the United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award rankings. In total, 458 soccer teams (188 men's and 270 women's) achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year.
The BIG EAST Conference honors teams with the highest collective GPA in each conference sport, and DePaul led the way with five teams recognized, including women's basketball, women's soccer, men's/women's tennis, and women's volleyball. Eleven schools had at least one team honored.
