Blue Demons add 6-10 freshman
CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball has rounded out its roster with the addition of Théo Pierre-Justin for the 2024-25 season. Pierre-Justin, a native of Coudures, France, comes in as a true freshman with four years of eligibility.
"Theo is a young player that provides size and versatility," said head coach Chris Holtmann. "We are glad to get him to campus here in Lincoln Park. He will have the normal adjustment of a freshman but we are excited about his skill and potential as a versatile player with size."
Standing at 6-10, Pierre-Justin most recently played for the France U20 team at the 2024 U20 EuroBasket Championships in Poland where he helped the team win the U20 title.
In 2023-24, Pierre-Justin played 23 games for Chorale de Roanne in the French B league next to several US natives, including Jordan Tucker who played for current DePaul assistant, Lavall Jordan. Previously, Pierre-Justin also played for the Espoirs Roanne team where he started 15 of 16 games, averaging 11.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals. He shot 50.5 percent from two-point range, while also draining 23 three-pointers at a near 38 percent clip. Pierre-Justin went 22-of-28 at the free throw line in those games, while also averaging 1.8 offensive rebounds per game.
