The Blue Demons participate in five tournaments, followed by a 19-match spring slate
CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis announced its schedule for the 2024-25 campaign on Wednesday afternoon.
The fall tournament schedule begins Friday, Sept. 27 with a two-day trip to Toledo, Ohio for the Rocket Hidden Duals. The Blue Demons head back to the Buckeye State for consecutive tournaments with a visit to Cincinnati (Oct. 4-5) and the ITA Midwest Regionals (Oct. 10-14) hosted by Ohio State. The scarlet and blue round out play prior to the dual season with the Michigan State Hidden Duals from Nov. 1-3 and a trip to Miami to participate in the FIU Invite Jan. 10-12.
DePaul clashes with eight BIG EAST opponents over the course of the dual season including three at XS Tennis Village. Overall, the Blue Demons will host seven contests at the south side venue with its home-opener against UIC on Jan. 25.
Women's tennis makes the cross-country trip to sunny Arizona for its first serve of the 2025 dual campaign taking on GCU (Jan. 18). Following the intra-city battle with UIC at XS Tennis Village on Jan. 25, the Blue Demons hit the road for a string of eight matches away from the Windy City.
DePaul begins an east coast affair with an in-conference matchup against Georgetown (Jan. 31) and George Washington (Feb. 1) before spending the rest of February in the Midwest. The Blue Demons face off against Drake in Des Moines, Iowa (Feb. 7) and Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Iowa (Feb. 9) both taking the court against DePaul for the first time since 2023. The team drives the short distance to West Lafayette, Ind. to face Purdue (Feb. 14) and Tulsa (Feb. 15). Finally, closing out the lengthy road trip at Omaha (Feb. 21) and BIG EAST foe, Creighton (Feb. 22).
The Blue Demons return home for a six-match homestand spanning over three weeks. A contest with Chicago State (Feb. 28) springs the weekend into action before a match with Cornell the following day, March 1. It is the first time since the 1990-91 season the two programs have met on the court. The scarlet and blue are back in action a week later to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles (March 7) and Butler Bulldogs (March 8) in its first two BIG EAST home contests of the season.
A two-week break ends with a matchup against St. John's (March 21). It's the third BIG EAST battle for the Blue Demons in as many matches.
DePaul rounds out the month of March with a spring break getaway to Cincinnati, facing defending league champions Xavier on March 29. Heading into April, the Blue Demons find themselves back on the East Coast, this time in Storrs, Conn. versus UConn (April 4) and Villanova (April 5).
The last regular-season match concludes on April 11 at XS Tennis Village with the Blue Demons squaring off with the Milwaukee Panthers.
Postseason action starts with the 2025 BIG EAST Championships in Cayce, S.C., April 17-20.
