DePaul Travels to Rogers Park for Matchup with Loyola

Blue Demons and Ramblers renew red line rivalry Tuesday night
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer will hit the road for the first time in the month of September with a short trip to Rogers Park on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to take on local foe Loyola Chicago. First touch from Hoyne Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT with live coverage carried on ESPN+.

Demon Doings
- The Blue Demons are 2-4-1 overall and 2-3-1 in non-conference action heading in to their second-to-last out of league matchup of 2024.
- DePaul looks to rebound after falling to No. 25 UConn, 3-2, in the conference regular opener on Friday, Sept. 20.
- Freshman defender Nolan McGuire tallied a three-point effort in the setback, recording the first goal of his career while also notching an assist en route to BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors.
- Sophomore Keagan pace continued his stretch of goal involvement with a tally of his own. Pace has contributed to a goal in four of DePaul's seven matches including two goals and four assists.
- DePaul's 15 goals on the season ranks second among BIG EAST teams for an average of 2.14 per match.
- The Blue Demons have assisted on every goal scored this season with Noeh Hernandez alongside Pace totaling a team-best four apiece which is tied for the league-lead.
- Hernandez's 20 shots this season is fifth-most among conference players.
- 11 unique goal scorers have found the back of the net in 2024, the most since the 2013 season when 13 different Blue Demons scored.Â
- The Ramblers are 1-4-2 on the 2024 campaign including a 1-1-1 record against common opponents Creighton (T, 1-1), Wright State (W, 4-2), and UIC (L, 2-0).
- Last time out, Loyola battled to a 2-2 draw in its A-10 opener against Dayton. The Ramblers were selected to finish fourth in the conference's preseason poll.
- Hugo Uridales and Luka Ivancic lead the Ramblers with two goals apiece. Urdiales boasts a team-best six points this fall.
- Steve Bode is in his third season leading Loyola's program. Â
- Tuesday evening will be the 43rd meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1981. The Ramblers lead the all-time series, 23-14-5.
- A season ago, Loyola claimed a 4-2 victory at Wish Field with Michael Anderson and Christian Baumgartner netting goals for the Blue Demons.
- The last win for DePaul in the series came in October of 2013.
