Blue Demons Return Home to Host Xavier

CHICAGO – Following a two-game road swing, the DePaul men's basketball team returns to Chicago Saturday, Jan. 11 as they play host to Xavier from Wintrust Arena. The game is slated for a 3 p.m. CT tip on FS1 with Noah Reed and Jordan Taylor on the broadcast. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have DePaul's radio call from 670 The Score and Sirius XM.
The BIG EAST Road Trip will begin prior to the game, starting at 12:30 across from Wintrust Arena at the Marriott Marquis.
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul (9-7, 0-5 BIG EAST) faced a heartbreaking overtime loss on the road Wednesday evening at Seton Hall, 85-80. CJ Gunn led DePaul with 21 points, which included a career-high five made three-pointers and four rebounds. Troy D'Amico also had one of his best games of the season, notching 18 points with four made three-pointers.
As a team, DePaul tallied 13 made three-pointers, tying for the third most in program history in a BIG EAST game.

Xavier leads the all-time series, 21-13, including the last four-straight. DePaul's last win in the series came on Jan. 18, 2023 where the Blue Demons defeated the then-eighth ranked Musketeers. DePaul is 7-8 all-time against Xavier at home.
SCOUTING XAVIER
Xavier (9-7, 1-4 BIG EAST) is coming off back-to-back conference losses against Georgetown and St. John's. The Musketeers are also in search of their first road win this season, having losses at TCU, Cincinnati, Georgetown and UConn. As a team, Xavier 18th nationally with a 38.9 three-point percentage while averaging 8.4 made three-pointers per game. The Musketeers also lead the BIG EAST and rank sixth nationally in fastbreak points.
Zach Freemantle is the Musketeers leading scorer, despite missing three games do to injury. Freemantle averages 17.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Ryan Conwell also contributes 15.9 points per game, while shooting a team-best 49 three-pointers this season. Conwell ranks third in the BIG EAST with 3.06 made three-pointers per game.
