DePaul Looks Forward for Trip to Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. – DePaul cross country heads to Bradley University on Friday, Oct. 18, to compete in the Bradley Pink Invitational. The event at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. marks the final races before the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships in Omaha, Neb, Friday, Oct. 31. DePaul runners will compete in the red races, with the men's 8k kicking off at 1:30 p.m. CT, and the women's 6k set to begin at 2:15 p.m. CT.

The previous showing for cross country came at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame on Friday, Oct. 3, where the Blue Demons saw strong performances from sophomore runners Mohamed Abdullahi and Vivian Wyller. The duo both led DePaul in their respective events and posted personal bests with finishes of 4th and 15th, respectively.

DePaul competed in the Bradley Pink Invitational in October 2024, where the men's team earned 11th place out of 29 teams and the women's team earned 21st out of 32.

Course Information: The Newman Golf Course, certified by the USTFCCCA, has hosted events like the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The men's 8k course features an initial 2,000m loop followed by three repeats of the inner 2,000m loop, ending with the straightaway finish. The women's 6k course follows a similar layout, with two repeats of the inner loop. The course offers excellent viewing for spectators.
