Women’s Soccer Closes Road Slate in Queens

Head coach Michele O’Brien returns home, DePaul visits St. John’s Saturday
QUEENS, N.Y. – In a homecoming for head coach Michele O'Brien, DePaul women's soccer travels east for its final road match of the regular season, taking on St. John's on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+. A native of Plainview, N.Y., located roughly 20 miles east of Queens, O'Brien returns to Long Island where her soccer journey first began.
DePaul (4-11-1, 1-6-1 BIG EAST) looks to rebound after a narrow 1-0 loss to UConn on Wednesday in Chicago. Sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Iro tied her career high with seven saves, while Sienna Gonzales led the Blue Demons with four shots. DePaul's defense limited the Huskies to one goal despite facing nine corners, marking the 14th time this fall the team has held an opponent to two goals or fewer.
St. John's (2-8-5, 0-5-3 BIG EAST) returns home after earning a 1-1 draw against Butler on Wednesday. Sophomore forward Hope Van Tuyle provided the equalizer in the 74th minute off a cross from freshman Leana Ruiz, who collected her first collegiate assist.
