Blue Demons Return Home, Host Arkansas Pine Bluff

CHICAGO – After a pair of games in Florida, DePaul men's basketball returns home to Wintrust Arena as they welcome Arkansas Pine-Bluff to the Windy City. The game is set for an 8 p.m. tip on truTV with Brandin Gaudin and Ronny Thompson on the broadcast, while Nabil Karim will have sideline reporting duties. DePaul's radio broadcast will be available on SiriusXM and the DePaul Blue Demons App with Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine on the call.
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul (5-3) finished as the runners up at the Emerald Coast Classic with a 75-61 win over Georgia Tech in the first round. The Blue Demons then fell in the Championship game to LSU, 63-96. Layden Blocker was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 12 points and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 57.1 percent. Freshman Kruz McClure also had a standout trip in Florida with 14.5 points per game, including a 22-point performance against the Tigers.
THE SERIES
Saturday marks the second all-time meeting between the two programs, and the first since 2011. DePaul owns the lone win the series, defeating the Lions 81-62 in Rosemont Arena.
SCOUTING ARKANSAS PINE BLUFF
Arkansas Pine Bluff (1-8) is coming off its first victory of the season, defeating UIC on Tuesday. The Lions boast one of the strongest schedules nationwide with matchups against the likes of Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and SMU. Solomon Bozeman is in his fifth season at the helm of the Pine Bluff program.
Quion Williams leads the Lions in scoring with 14.9 points per game, in addition to nabbing 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Williams is in his first season at Arkansas Pine Bluff after playing at Abilene Christian in 2024-25. As a team, the Lions are just outside the top-50 nationally with a 76.2 team free throw percentage and average 3.7 blocks per game.
