
DePaul Hosts Seton Hall for Blue Demon Day

CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball is set to host Seton Hall for Sunday matchup, Feb. 2, as a part of DePaul University's annual Blue Demon Day. Fans are encouraged to wear blue for the 5 p.m. tip off from Wintrust Arena. Noah Reed and Wesley Matthews will have the broadcast call on FS1 while Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have DePaul's radio call on 670 The Score.
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul (10-12, 1-10 BIG EAST) went toe-to-toe with another top-25 opponent earlier this week as the Blue Demons fell 72-61 to #25 UConn. The team pulled out to a 37-29 halftime lead, marking its largest ever against the Huskies, before the defending national champions were able to control the second half.

Layden Blocker had a game-high 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting that included five rebounds and two assists. CJ Gunn has continued his strong stretch with seven-consecutive games scoring 10 or more points with 14 on Wednesday.
THE SERIES
Seton Hall holds a 26-10 advantage in the all-time series, while it's been much closer (9-7), in games played in Chicago. Six of the last eight meetings between the two programs have been decided by five points or less.
LAST MEETING
In the first meeting between the two teams on Jan. 8, CJ Gunn posted 21 points followed by a season-best 18 point performance from Troy D'Amico. The shooting wasn't enough however as Seton Hall took away a double-digit DePaul lead to force overtime. The Pirates ultimately won the game 85-80.
SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall's (6-15, 1-9 BIG EAST) lone conference win remains against DePaul. The Pirates have lost six-straight conference games, including a two-point, 69-67, loss against Providence on Tuesday. Overall, the Pirates are 0-6 on the road this season.
Isaiah Coleman is the team's leader in many categories including 15.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He is shooting 82.6 percent at the free throw line with an average of 3.7 made per game. Chaunce Jenkins is the team's next leading scorer with 11.4 points while shooting over 40 percent from three-point range.
