Jorie Allen Earns Honor Roll Recognition for Sixth Time

Graduate forward led the league in scoring last week
CHICAGO – DePaul's Jorie Allen was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the sixth time this season after leading the league in scoring across two games last week.
The graduate forward averaged 25.0 points per game in addition to 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks as the Blue Demons fell to Providence before beating Georgetown on Sunday. She went 24-27 from the free-throw line for an 88-percent clip.
Against the Friars, Allen tied for the team-high with 19 points in addition to four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
In the win over the Hoyas, Allen recorded her second 30-point performance of the season with 31 points behind a 17-for-18 performance from the charity stripe. She added eight rebounds, three assists and matched her career-high with three blocks. With 17 made free throws, Allen matched the program record for makes in a game.
For the season, Allen has scored 10 or more points in all 26 of DePaul's game and is second in the BIG EAST in points per game with an average of 19.5.
DePaul hosts Villanova on Wednesday, Feb.12 for its annual Play4Kay game. Tipoff from Wintrust Arena is set for 7 p.m.
