
Road Trip Takes Blue Demons to Xavier

CINCINNATI – DePaul men's basketball faces its second road test of the week as the Blue Demons head to Cincinnati to take on Xavier, Saturday Feb. 15. The game is slated for an 11 a.m. CT tip on FS1 with Connor Onion and Nick Bahe on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have DePaul's radio broadcast on 670 The Score.
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul (11-14, 2-12 BIG EAST) had a midweek tilt against #18 Marquette on Tuesday, ultimately falling 68-58. The Blue Demons fought back from a 20-point deficit in the second half to pull within striking distance, thanks to a 14-point performance by CJ Gunn and David Thomas' second-straight double-digit scoring effort.
THE SERIES
Xavier leads the all-time series against DePaul 21-13 with the Blue Demons last win in the series coming Jan. 18, 2023 against a Musketeer team that was ranked eighth at the time.
Earlier this season, Xavier defeated DePaul in Wintrust Arena, 77-63. The Blue Demons were lifted by 16 points from Gunn with a career-high seven rebounds and a total of 10 made three-pointers as a team.

XU is led by Zach Freemantle who leads the Musketeers in scoring and rebounds with 16.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Freemantle ranks fourth in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage at well, shooting 49.6 percent on the season.
