The three Blue Demons prepare for 2025 fall season
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer seniors Jen Devona, Briley Hill, and Grace Menser are returning to exercise their final year of collegiate soccer eligibility, head coach Michele O'Brien announced Monday morning. The experienced trio played an instrumental role in the Blue Demons' BIG EAST postseason run last fall, helping the team reach the semifinals for the first time since 2016.
"We are so grateful for all of the contributions that Jen, Grace, and Briley have made to our program, and we couldn't be more excited that they will be taking their fifth year of eligibility at DePaul," said Coach O'Brien. "I am honored and privileged to have the opportunity to coach them for another year. They are excellent leaders in our program, and each influences the team and culture in such a positive way."
Devona has been a consistent force in DePaul's midfield and defense over the past four seasons. The Barrington, Ill., product has made 43 career appearances, including 18 starts in the 2024 season, logging 1,526 minutes—her highest single-season total. She has contributed defensively throughout her career while excelling in the classroom as a two-time CSC Academic All-District Team honoree (2023, 2024) and a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection (2022, 2023, 2024).
Hill made an immediate impact in her first season with DePaul, starting 17 matches at forward and logging 1,192 minutes. The Lincoln, Neb., native ranked second on the team in shots (23), third in shots on goal (10), and fourth in points (6), contributing two assists. A 2024 BIG EAST All-Tournament Team selection, she was a key contributor on the attack.
Since arriving in 2023, Menser has been a key leader and captain for DePaul, providing a steady veteran presence in the midfield. Menser has appeared in 31 matches with 29 starts, playing eight full 90-minute games and logging over 2,200 minutes in her two seasons in Lincoln Park. A two-time CSC Academic All-District Team honoree and a 2023-24 BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection, she has demonstrated leadership on and off the field throughout her career.
"I am excited to continue watching them reach their individual potential. I know they will help lead the team this offseason and next fall, and we are looking forward to the strong impact they will make," said coach O'Brien.
