Blue Demons begin fight for fourth conference championship in five seasons
CAYCE, S.C. – No. 4 seed DePaul men's tennis opens its postseason run on Friday, April 18, with a BIG EAST Quarterfinal clash against No. 5 seed Georgetown at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center. The Blue Demons closed the regular season at 13-10 overall, highlighted by a 4-2 mark in BIG EAST play and a 5-1 record on their home courts. A thrilling 4-3 victory over Xavier on April 6 capped dual action and secured DePaul's 12th straight top-five seed heading into the conference tournament. Now, the Blue Demons set their sights on claiming their fourth BIG EAST title in five years—a feat no men's tennis program has achieved since conference realignment in 2013.
Pablo Torres Almeida, Andy Hadziabdic, and Marko Milosavljevic paced the squad with 12 singles victories apiece during the regular season. In doubles, Thomas Giles and Milosavljevic led the way with nine total wins, while the pairing of Matteo Iaquinto and Milosavljevic posted a 7-3 record, primarily at the No. 2 position.
The 2025 BIG EAST Tennis Championships return to the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center in Cayce, S.C., for the ninth consecutive year. The facility features 30 lighted courts and a championship-sized stadium court with seating for approximately 500 spectators. Admission is free to all spectators.
