Blue Demons Conclude Day One at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. – DePaul golf competed in day one of the Boilermaker Invitational Saturday. The Blue Demons finished two rounds, including a five-stroke improvement in the second round as a team.
The event concludes Sunday with a final 18-holes Sunday, April 20 with an 8 a.m. CT tee time.
Pablo Riveiro led the Blue Demons individually Saturday with an overall score of 148 (+6). Riveiro started out the day strong with a 70 (-1) through the first 18 holes and sits in 68th place heading into Sunday. DePaul's five remaining golfers all improved their scores from round one to two. Dominic Lucchesi registered a 74 (+3) in the second round to sit at 150 (+8) overall in 75th place.
Rohan Gopaldas, who sits in 79th place through two rounds, recorded the Blue Demons best individual score in the second round with a 73 (+2) for a total on the day of 151 (+9). Ryder Henares rounded out DePaul's counting scores with a total of 153 (+11), while Hank Schaefer was the Blue Demons final golfer of the day with a 154 (+12).
