DePaul Golf Improves Team Score On Day Two

Lucchesi moves into top-20 after solid second round
OKATIE, S.C. – DePaul golf improved its team score in the second round of the BIG EAST Golf Championships on Sunday, including a solid performance from freshman Dominic Lucchesi with a 72 (E). Lucchesi moved himself into the top-20 with an overall score of 146 (+2) to sit in 17th ahead of Monday's final round.
Both Lucchesi and Ryder Henares climbed eight spots in the standings, each with a mark even at par. Henares went bogey-free on the front nine, including a pair of birdies for a five-shot improvement between rounds to sit in 35th.
Rohan Gopaldas and Pablo Riveiro once again shot matching scores in Sunday's second round, each tallying 74 (+2). The duo sit in a tie for 23rd with a combined score of 147 (+3). Alex Vekich also competed in Sunday's round for the Blue Demons, shooting a 75 (+3) in his second-best round of 18 this season.
DePaul and the other nine BIG EAST teams will conclude action at the Championship event, Monday, April 28. The conference winner will be crowned at the conclusion of the third round and advance to the NCAA Championships. Should the individual winner not be a part of the championship team, the individual will advance as well.
