DePaul Golf Takes on Military City Collegiate

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Following a strong conclusion to its tournament last weekend, DePaul golf travels to the Military City Collegiate, hosted by UTSA, Feb. 23-24. The event is hosted at the TPC San Antonio, home of the Valero Texas Open. Teams will compete on the 7,106-yard Canyons Course with a par-72. The PGA Tour Valero Texas Open takes place on the adjacent Oaks Course.

The field features 12 teams – Abilene Christian, Central Michigan, DePaul, High Point, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Middle Tennessee, UT Arlington, ULM, UTRGV, UTSA and Western Kentucky.

DePaul's lineup is expected to feature North Chery, Dominic Lucchesi, Billy Gneiser, Leif Breede and Matthew Rastogi. The Blue Demons will tee off Monday morning at 8 a.m. in a shotgun start. Chery earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors on Friday, after a career-best fifth-place finish at the Wexford Intercollegiate. Chery carded a 54-hole total of 211 (-5) over the two-day event, tying for the fifth-best finish under par by a Blue Demon golfer since 2000.
