Jeremy Lorenz Signs with DePaul

Blue Demons sign Wofford transfer
CHICAGO – DePaul basketball has added its second transfer ahead of the 2025-26 season in Jeremy Lorenz. Lorenz comes to Chicago from Wofford with two years of remaining eligibility.
"We are excited about the addition of Jeremy," said head coach Chris Holtmann. "He is a strong, physical player who brings toughness, skill and a really good feel to the forward and front court positions. He cares about winning and was a part of a winning program this past season. We believe his best basketball is ahead of him in these next two years. Our staff can't wait to get to work with him this summer and beyond."
A native of Brillion, Wis., Lorenz appeared in 35 games with 12 starts for Wofford this season as a sophomore. He helped the Terriers to win the SoCon Tournament, advancing to the program's first NCAA Tournament in six seasons. Lorenz averaged 8.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game across the season, in addition to shooting 50 percent from the floor. He tallied seven games across the 2024-25 season with double-digit scoring and helped Wofford rank 10th nationally in team rebound margin.
He notched 12 points in the NCAA Tournament against #2-seeded Tennessee, while also contributing four rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers. Lorenz's season-high of 20 points came in Wofford's conference opener against Kentucky Christian where he shot 8-of-10 from the floor.
A standout student, Lorenz also earned 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and was a 2023-24 SoCon Academic Honor Roll recipient.
Lorenz finished his high school career at Brillion, Wis. with 1,992 career points and was named Eastern Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year as a senior. He helped lead his team to a WIAA Division 3 State Championship in 2023 with a 29-1 record. In his final high school season, Lorenz averaged 21.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.1 blocks.
