
Pair of Unbeaten Clubs Meet When DePaul Travels to Drake Saturday

Blue Demons and Bulldogs meet Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer hits the road for the first time in 2025 with a trip to Des Moines, Iowa on deck to take on Drake Saturday, Sept. 13. First touch from Mediacom Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. The non-conference tilt is set to be streamed live on ESPN+.

Demon Doings
DePaul remains unbeaten through the first three weeks of the season with a 2-0-4 record in its first six matches. The Blue Demons unbeaten streak to start the season is the longest in the program's history.

In its most recent outing, DePaul earned a 2-1 victory over Loyola Chicago behind a pair of first half goals from Christian Baumgartner and Noeh Hernandez. The duo each netted their second goal of the fall campaign to give the Blue Demons back-to-back wins over the Ramblers for the first time since the 2012-13 season. With his tally, Hernandez moved to 16th all-time in career points with 41.
Junior forward Keagan Pace has also been an offensive spark for the Blue Demons with a team-best four goals on the season to go with team-highs in shots (15) and shots on goal (8). Â Pace's goal total ranks second among all BIG EAST players and tied for 14th nationally.
As a team, DePaul has doubled the amount of corner kick opportunities compared to its opponent with a 45-20 ledger on the season. The Blue Demons are averaging 16.3 shots per match while holding opponents to 11.2 per contest.

Scouting Drake
The Bulldogs are 3-0-3 in 2025 with wins over Incarnate Word and Tulsa as well as NAIA program Graceland. Drake, the preseason favorite in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), has played a majority of early season matches on the road but is 1-0-1 at home. Junior midfielder Jackson Kirsch has had a strong start to the 2025 campaign with three goals and three assists for a total of nine points. Seven different Bulldogs have found the back of the net this season. Pat Flinn is in his fourth season leading the program in Des Moines.

The two teams collide for the 21st time in the series history on Saturday. The Bulldogs hold a 13-6-1 edge through the previous 20 meetings including a 8-1 advantage in games played in Des Moines. DePaul's lone win in Iowa came in September of 2018 by way of a 2-1 overtime victory.

A season ago, Drake took a 2-1 victory at Wish Field with all three goals coming in the second half. For DePaul, Chase Stegall netted the first goal of his career in the matchup with the Bulldogs.
