Eva Hurrle Selected as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Blue Demons lead conference in digs per set
CHICAGO – Libero Eva Hurrle of DePaul volleyball was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
The Greenwood, Indiana, native continues to excel for the Blue Demons, earning double-digit digs in seven of eight matches this year as the starting libero.
In a pair of three-set victories over the weekend, Hurrle tallied 25 and 14 digs, respectively. She also added four service aces in the win against Chicago State, the most by any Blue Demon in a three-set match this season.
Behind her efforts, DePaul continues to lead the league in digs per set, averaging 15.26. Hurrle herself is second in the conference, logging 5.00 digs per set, behind only redshirt senior Hadley Pride of Providence.
