Women’s tennis competes in six tournaments before a 20-match dual season schedule
CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis head coach Marisa Arce announced the team's 2025-26 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
Action begins on Thursday, September 25, at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. Junior Sasha Stula was selected to represent DePaul in the tournament. Stula was one of the brightest spots for the Blue Demons last season as a sophomore. The Gifu, Japan native tallied 19 total wins (1st on the team), 12 wins in dual play (2nd on the team), and finished the season on a three-match winning streak. As a result, Stula earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST second team for the first time in her career.
DePaul remains in the Midwest during October, opening the month at the Michigan State Classic in East Lansing, Mich. (Oct. 3-5).
The following weekend features the Blue Demons in Toledo, Ohio, for the Rocket Invitational (Oct. 10-11). DePaul aims to replicate its success in the tournament from a year ago, when the Scarlet and Blue won 8 of 9 doubles matches across two days.
The Blue Demons travel to the ITA Midwest Regionals in Champaign, Illinois (Oct.16-21), followed by the Purdue Invite (Oct. 31-Nov. 2) to round out the month.
In January, DePaul heads to Northwestern to play its final tournament (Jan. 9-11) before embarking on the dual season.
The first weekend of dual play hosted by Grand Canyon, as the Blue Demons take on San Diego (Jan. 18) and Grand Canyon (Jan. 19). Action continues from Indiana the following week, with battles against Kennesaw State (Jan. 24) and the Hoosiers (Jan. 25). DePaul returns home for its opening home match of the season at XS Tennis Village versus Omaha (Jan. 30) before a contest with BIG EAST foe, Creighton (Jan. 31).
A prolonged stay in the Windy City welcomes Toledo (Feb. 6) and Georgetown (Feb. 7) into town, before Eastern Michigan (Feb. 13) and Missouri (Feb. 14) visit the following weekend. The Blue Demons' match against Missouri will be the first time the two programs face one another since the 1990-91 season. February continues with the team's second trip to Evanston, Ill., in as many months to take on Northwestern (Feb. 22). DePaul wraps up February, battling two BIG EAST opponents, Butler (Feb. 27) and UConn (Feb. 28), in Indianapolis.
The duel for Chicago gets underway on March 7 against UIC before an East Coast road trip versus St. John's (March 13) and Seton Hall (March 14) culminates mid-month.
DePaul will fly to sunny South Florida to match up with FIU (March 25) and FAU (March 27) for its spring break matches.
The Scarlet and Blue return home to close out BIG EAST play and the home slate with a senior day contest against the Xavier Musketeers on April 4. DePaul takes the court against Notre Dame on April 12 in South Bend, Indiana, to conclude the regular season.
Postseason action begins with the BIG EAST Championships, April 16-19 in Cayce, S.C.
