Demon Doings
DePaul is 1-0-3 through two weeks of the 2025 season and is unbeaten through its first four matches for the first time since 2022. The Blue Demons are coming off a 1-1 draw against St. Thomas in which junior forward Keagan Pace netted the equalizer in the 58th minute to earn a point for the scarlet and blue.
Pace has been a pivotal piece to DePaul's early season results with three goals on the year. His goal tally ranks second-most of any player in the BIG EAST and he was recently named to the conference's weekly honor roll for his two-goal week in a victory over Chicago State and draw with St. Thomas. He leads the Blue Demons in points (6) and shots on goal (6).
The Blue Demons are generating plenty of chances, posting 17.0 shots per game compared to 10.8 by opponents. DePaul has also dominated corner kick opportunities by a 36-14 margin.
Scouting UIC
The Flames are 3-0 on the season with wins over Air Force, Eastern Illinois and most recently Northwestern. Through three matches, UIC is outscoring opponents 10-3 with junior midfielders Edouard Nys and Darrell Turcios pacing the offensive attack with three goals apiece on the year. Head coach Sean Phillips, in his 16th season leading the program, returns 12 letterwinners from 2024 while bringing in 16 newcomers.
