MADISON, Wis. – DePaul men's tennis continues its non-conference schedule Friday evening with a matchup against Wisconsin at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CT as the Blue Demons look to secure their first dual win of the spring season.
Last Time Out
DePaul enters the weekend at 0-4 overall following a challenging stretch against Cleveland State (3-4), VCU (3-4), ETSU (2-5) and Notre Dame (0-7). The Blue Demons opened the year with back-to-back narrow decisions, including two matches decided by a single point, before closing last weekend's road trip in South Bend.
Alejandro Gandini and Augusto Pardo Cano each hold 2-2 records in dual singles competition to pace the lineup early in the season, while Pablo Torres Almeida and Andy Hadziabdic have contributed key points on the middle courts. DePaul will look to build momentum in doubles after earning its lone dual victory at the No. 1 position from the pairing of Torres Almeida and Gandini.
Wisconsin Notes – Badger Breakdown
Wisconsin (6-1) enters Friday's contest riding a five-match winning streak and holds a 4-0 record at home this season. The Badgers most recently secured a 4-3 victory at Notre Dame, snapping a seven-match skid against the Fighting Irish. Sophomore Edouard Aubert delivered the clinching singles win in that matchup and owns a 3-1 record this spring. Wisconsin leads the all-time series against DePaul, 23-2, including a 7-0 result during the 2025 season.
UP NEXT
DePaul takes on Denver in a neutral-site match in Evanston, Ill., Saturday, Feb. 21, with first serve slated for 2 p.m. CT.
