Blue Demons Come Up Short in Madison

Men’s tennis swept at Wisconsin Friday night
MADISON, Wis. – DePaul men's tennis (0-5) dropped a 7-0 decision Friday evening at Wisconsin (6-2) inside Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The loss marks the Blue Demons' second consecutive road setback against a Big Ten opponent.
Wisconsin secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Thomas Giles and Augusto Pardo Cano fell 6-0 at the top spot, while Pablo Torres Almeida and Sebastian Medica were edged 6-1 on court three. The No. 2 pairing of Sven Moser and Alejandro Gandini was left unfinished.
In singles play, the Badgers maintained control with straight-set victories across all six courts. The clinching point came at No. 4 singles, where Sebastian Medica fell 6-3, 6-2.
Alejandro Gandini battled at the No. 1 position and forced a second-set tiebreak before dropping a 6-1, 7-6(3) decision. Sven Moser pushed his second set at No. 6 before falling 6-0, 7-5.
