DePaul Competes at NCA Collegiate Nationals

DePaul Cheer took to the mat this weekend at the 2026 NCA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach. Â
Coach Francine Dilay and program alumna Gwen Halik led a team that featured 14 Blue Demon athletes, six of whom made their first appearance at nationals.Â

The Blue Demons participated in the Intermediate All-Girl category, one of the largest categories in the competition.  California Baptist University claimed the title, with Lindenwood University in second and Stephen F Austin State University in third.

Roughly 350 cheer teams teams competed at this year's event across intermediate, advanced, gameday and spirit rally.   To learn more about NCA Collegiate Nationals or to watch a replay, visit tv.varsity.com.Â
With the conclusion of nationals, DePaul turns its focus to auditions for the 2026-27 team, set for May 9.Â
