Jacques joins DePaul after setting freshman rebounding record at Fresno State
CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball has signed standout freshman transfer, Wilson Jacques for the 2026-27 season. Jacques, a 7-foot center from Metz, France, set Fresno State's freshman rebounding record with a total of 240 boards in his first season and was the second leading rebounder out of the Mountain West.
"We are excited to add Wilson to our frontcourt and the DePaul basketball family," said head coach Chris Holtmann. "He had a very productive season and we are looking forward to his continued growth as he transitions to the BIG EAST and contributes to our program."
Jacques started all 32 games for the Bulldogs, averaging 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. His rebound average bested the Fresno State freshman record by over two per game and ranked fifth among all freshmen nationally. Jacques tallied nine double-doubles on the season, including a 16-point, 19-rebound performance against San Jose State in the regular season finale.
Prior to his freshman season, Jacques played at JL Bourg-en-Bresse where he was named the Espoirs Elite Season Most Valuable Player. He led his team to the France Espoirs Elite U21 title in 2025 while averaging 14.9 points, 10 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
