CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball head coach Jill M. Pizzotti announced the signing of veteran all-conference forward Zoey Ward on Monday. Ward, a 6-foot senior, joins the Blue Demons after three seasons at Iona and will suit up for DePaul in 2026-27 for her final season of eligibility.
"We're excited to add Zoey to our roster for next season," said Pizzotti. "She is a versatile player who impacts the game on both ends of the floor, and we believe her experience will allow her to make an immediate impact for our program."
Ward earned All-Met Third Team honors following a standout junior campaign with the Gaels. She started all 32 games during the 2025-26 season and ranked second in the MAAC with 35.8 minutes per game. Ward led Iona with 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while finishing sixth in the league in scoring and second in rebounding.
She recorded 24 double-figure scoring performances, including seven 20-point games, and ranked second in the conference with 10 double-doubles. Ward was also named MAAC Second Team All-Conference.
Across three seasons at Iona, Ward appeared in 92 games with 62 starts. She led the Gaels in rebounding each of the last two seasons and owns career averages of 8.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Prior to her time in New Rochelle, Ward starred at Ashbrook High School and Concord Academy. She led Concord Academy to the NCISAA 3A State Championship as a senior with 28 points in the title game and earned NCISAA All-State honors in 2023. Ward also helped Ashbrook capture two Big South 3A regular season and tournament titles and was named the 2019-20 Big South 3A Player of the Year.
Ward plans to enroll in DePaul's College of Communication.
