Blue Demons Close Outdoor Regular Season in Champaign Saturday

Claire Dunn, Helen Baumgarten, Caleb Schulz earn victories on day two of Gary Weineke Memorial

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – DePaul track and field concluded the Gary Wieneke Memorial on Saturday with a series of top-10 performances, signaling the end of its regular-season slate.

In the field, Lauren Drew led the way with a third-place finish in the discus at 41.92m, followed by Olivia Santos in fifth, while Amelia Barrington added a personal-best clearance of 1.70m in the high jump. Jaiden Gary paced the men's side in the shot put with a fifth-place mark of 16.94m.

On the track, Claire Dunn led the group in the 400m with a time of 54.16, while Helen Baumgarten recorded a personal-best 13.47 in the 100m hurdles and Aisha Kazeem followed with a personal-best 13.81 to place second. Sade Miller added a runner-up finish in the 100m, and Amelia Montgomery placed third in the 800m.

On the men's side, Caleb Schulz posted a season-best 10.38 in the 100m. In the 110m hurdles, Harper Bryan recorded a personal-best 14.80 to place third, followed by Jorden Reddick in fourth. Daniel Fasasi led a group effort in the 400m with a runner-up finish in 46.57, with Tyce Smith and Denhm Holt also finishing among the top five to close the Blue Demons' stay in Champaign.
