Marie Zidek Leads USA Volleyball U17 Team to Gold at Pan American Cup

Tegucigalpa, Hondruas - DePaul volleyball head coach Marie Zidek lead the U.S. U17 National Team to a gold medal Sunday evening at the 2026 NORCECA Girls U17 Pan American Cup with a 3-1 victory over Venezuela. The U.S. finished 4-0 in the tournament, dropping just one set throughout the event.Â
Zidek was joined on the coaching staff by National Team Development Program Assistant Coach Heather Olmstead, Baylor's Joshua Walker and Texas A&M's Joe Skinner.Â
Zidek led the team to a gold medal in its debut of the event, a year after leading the U23 team to a Gold Medal at the 2025 U23 Pan American Cup. Zidek has been involved with USA Volleyball and its National Team Development Program (NTDP) for more than a decade.Â
