Leonor Polezzi Earns Third BIG EAST Honor Roll Selection of 2026

Senior guides Blue Demons to Chicago Cup title
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball senior Leonor Polezzi was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon following an all-around performance that led the Blue Demons to a 2-0 weekend and the Chicago Cup title.
The honor marks Polezzi's third BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition in the first four weeks of the season, having previously earned the award on Aug. 31 and Sept. 14.
Polezzi posted 59 assists, eight service aces, 20 digs, and six kills while hitting 1.000 (6-0-6) in victories over crosstown rivals Loyola Chicago and UIC. She opened the tournament with a double-double against Loyola on Friday, dishing out 34 assists alongside 11 digs, four aces, and two kills in a five-set thriller. She followed up with 25 assists, nine digs, four kills, and four more service aces in Saturday's 3-0 sweep of UIC. Her eight service aces on the weekend helped fuel late-set rallies and a key serving run in the third set against UIC.
Polezzi currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in service aces per set (.53) and total aces (20), while standing second in assists per set (8.71) with 331 total assists on the year.
