5-foot-11 guard joins Blue Demons after three seasons and 94 appearances at Pacific
CHICAGO -- DePaul women's basketball head coach Jill M. Pizzotti announced the addition of transfer guard Nyah Lowery ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Lowery joins the Blue Demons after spending the previous three seasons at Pacific. The Sacramento, Calif. native appeared in 94 career games and is coming off her most productive season, establishing career highs in scoring, rebounding and three-pointers. The 5-foot-11 guard appeared in all 30 games with eight starts during the 2025-26 campaign. Lowery averaged career highs of 5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She also recorded 34 assists and 24 steals while averaging more than 21 minutes per contest.
"We're very excited to add a player of Nyah's caliber to our program," said Pizzotti. "Nyah brings additional size and depth to our guard position with the ability to score from beyond the arc and attack the basket. She will make an impact on the glass and gives us a versatile defender who can affect the game in a variety of ways.
"What makes Nyah especially exciting is her commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom. Her pursuit of a degree in Performing Arts Management speaks to the unique opportunities available at DePaul, and we're thrilled to support her as she continues to grow as a student and athlete."
Lowery showed consistent development throughout her career at Pacific, increasing both her scoring and rebounding averages in each of her three seasons before joining the Blue Demons.
Lowery is DePaul's fifth transfer portal addition ahead of the 2026-27 season, joining Louis Volker (George Mason), Zoey Ward (Iona), Doyinsola Lijirin (Wagner) and Kaliyah Dillard (San Jose State).
