Leonor Polezzi Secures First BIG EAST Weekly Honor

Senior transfer makes splash in Blue Demon debut
CHICAGO - DePaul volleyball senior Leonor Polezzi earned her first BIG EAST weekly honor Monday afternoon, landing on the conference's Weekly Honor Roll following a standout opening weekend with the Blue Demons.

In her DePaul debut, Polezzi guided the Blue Demons to a 3-0 start, totaling 93 assists across 10 sets for an average of 9.30 assists per set. The setter recorded 30 assists against Milwaukee, followed by 38 at Drake and 25 against South Dakota. Polezzi also made an impact from the service line, tallying six aces over the weekend, including four against South Dakota. Defensively, she added 28 digs and four blocks while committing just three service errors. She currently leads the BIG EAST with 93 assists and ranks fourth with six service aces.

A native of Turin, Italy, Polezzi joined DePaul after two seasons at North Carolina A&T, where she led the CAA in assists per set (10.26) and total service aces as a junior in 2025. She was also a two-time CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
