Bio
Former DePaul standout and All-BIG EAST Conference performer Katherine Harry is in her first season as the Blue Demon's video coordinator. Harry joined the DePaul staff in July of 2015.
"Katherine is one of DePaul's all-time special human beings and players. From the moment Katherine committed to DePaul in high school, she has been one of the most loyal and committed student-athletes. She helped lead DePaul to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments including a 2011 Sweet Sixteen and led the BIG EAST in rebounding.
"With her playing days behind her, Katherine has made the decision to enter the collegiate coaching ranks and has been honing her video skills on the high school level at her alma mater under the great Jill Nagle, who has led Rock Bridge to four consecutive state championships.
"The video coordinator position has become one of the most important jobs in a basketball program. I am confident that Katherine will do a fantastic job in her new role and will continue to be as important a team member on our women's basketball staff as she was as a player.
"Katherine has the intelligence, work ethic, and passion to one day become a special college basketball coach."
Harry ended her playing career in 2013 as the only DePaul player to have more than 1,000 points, 1,000 rebound and 150 blocks. She also set the McGrath-Phillips Arena rebounding record with 20 boards against Louisville on Feb. 25, 2012.
The two-time all-BIG EAST Conference honoree graduated ranked first in games played (136 -- since then Brittany Hrynko passed her for most all-time), third in rebounding (1,158), fourth in blocked shots (143), eighth in rebounding average (8.5 rpg) and 26th in scoring (1,100).
She led DePaul in rebounding as a freshman (7.8), junior (9.5 rpg) and paced the Blue Demons and the BIG EAST with 10.7 boards per game as a senior.
