Sydney Parker
- Title:
- Volunteer Instructional Assistant
Sydney Parker officially joined the DePaul women’s soccer staff as a volunteer instructional assistant in July 2025. Returning to the program as a former player, Parker looks to continue to leave her mark on DePaul Women’s Soccer for years to come.
Following her collegiate career, Parker played professionally in Portugal’s Liga BPI (Women’s First Division). In 2024-25, she competed for Damaiense SAD, starting all seven of her appearances and logging 621 minutes, scoring one goal before her season was cut short. In 2023-24, she played for Valadares Gaia, appearing in 25 matches with 23 starts, totaling 2,054 minutes, scoring one goal and adding one assist.
A consistent and durable presence on the back line, Parker started every match of her five-year career at DePaul, totaling over 7,200 minutes played. In 2022, she was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after scoring two goals in a 3-1 win over Lindenwood. That season, she started all 16 games, recorded 11 shots (six on goal), and logged 1,436 minutes on the pitch.
In 2021, she once again started every match and opened the season with a goal against Iowa, marking back-to-back season openers with a score. She tallied six shots (five on frame) and played 1,636 minutes. During the condensed 2020-21 season, she led the team in minutes played (736) across all eight starts. She netted her first career goal with a game-winner against Valparaiso, and she earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors after anchoring a shutout of Butler.
As a sophomore in 2019, she started 18 of 19 matches and helped DePaul’s defense limit opponents to under 10 shots per game. She played 1,689 minutes and contributed three shots offensively. She made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2018, starting all 19 games and logging 1,780 minutes, fourth-most on the squad, while recording 14 shots.
