Bloomington, Ind. – A first-half goal by Indiana was the only score of the evening as the women’s soccer team lost, 1-0, in Bloomington on Friday night. With the loss to the eighth-ranked team in the Great Lakes region, the Blue Demons dropped to 6-4-0 on the season.
The only goal of the match came in the 15th minute when Indiana’s Kristen Zmijewski knocked in a rebound off a Lindsey Deason save. Deason finished the match with five saves.
The Blue Demons came out after halftime and peppered the Indiana goal. Julianne Sitch had the best DePaul opportunity as she got past the Indiana defense midway through the second half, but came up empty.
DePaul continues their weekend road trip with a Sunday match at Western Illinois. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Macomb.
