Men's Track Finishes Fourth at Lee Calhoun Invite

MACOMB, Ill. - The DePaul men's track and field team finished fourth in their second outdoor meet of the season. The Blue Demons were one of eight teams competing at the 14th annual Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational on Saturday. Jarrod Jahnke, Will Lazicki and Luis Samayoa all claimed first-place finishes while Larry Inanga earned a second and third.
Jahnke won the hammer throw competition with a distance of 54.42 meters while Samayoa won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:53.04. Lazicki took first in the 800-meter run in 1:53.26 and was followed by teammate Ben Cooke in second place at 1:53.70.
Inanga was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.95 and came back to finish third in the 400-meter dash at 48.32. Siddiqu Muhammad placed second in the 400-meter hurdles at 54.96, and Donnie Warner's time of 14:53.01 put him in third place in the 5,000-meter run.
Eastern Illinois won the team title with 196.5 points and was followed by host Western Illinois (147.5) and Marquette (115). DePaul finished the eight-team event in fourth place with a total of 92 points.
