Women's Track Places Seventh at Lee Calhoun Invite

MACOMB, Ill. - The DePaul women's track and field team finished seventh out of 11 teams at the 14th annual Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational on Saturday. Megan Greeley, Erin Moffett and Leah Rygh led the team with top three finishes in the second outdoor meet of the season.
Greeley tallied the lone first-place finish for DePaul on Saturday. She took first place in the javelin with a throw of 42.65 meters. Moffett placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase while Leah Rygh was third in the 1,500-meter run. Moffett registered a time of 10:33.05 while Rygh was timed at 4:33.75.
Others finishing in the top five were Susan Stoffel with a fourth place in the hammer throw and Diana Runnels in fifth place in the 200-meter dash. Stoffel was fourth with a distance of 47.18 meters while Runnels ran the 200 in 25.27. The Blue Demon 4x100-meter relay team also placed fourth.
Host Western Illinois won the team title with 184 points and was followed by Memphis (130.5), UW-Milwaukee (125) and Marquette (86). DePaul finished the 11-team event with a total of 45 points.
