Men's Track Places Second at Chicagoland Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The DePaul men’s track and field team placed second as a team at the Chicagoland Championships this weekend. The Blue Demons placed in the top three in eight events while claiming six first-place finishes.
Rashard Deleston tallied a pair of top three finishes with a first in the long jump and third in the 200-meter dash. In the long jump, Deleston posted a mark of 6.76 meters and ran a 22.72 in the 200.
Others garnering first-place finishes were Jamal Cornelious with a 10.79 in the 100-meter dash, Luis Samayoa in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:55.71 and Donnie Warner notched a time of 31:58.80 in the 10,000-meter run. Siddiqu Muhammad took first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.22 as did the 4x400-meter relay team with a winning time of 3:21.70.
Larry Inanga was second in the 400 with a time of 48.13. Ben Cooke followed Samayoa in the 1,500 with a third-place finish at 4:00.55.
