DePaul is 10-6 overall and 3-2 in Conference USA after beating TCU 61-54 on Tuesday in Ft. Worth, Texas. Marquette is 11-5 and 2-3 after falling to Charlotte 84-76 on Tuesday in Charlotte.
Polls
Marquette is receiving votes in both the Associated Press and the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 polls. DePaul is not mentioned in either poll.
Series
Marquette leads the all-time series 57-40. The Golden Eagles have won the last six meetings including both last season (72-51 on January 25 at the Bradley Center and 73-60 on February 12 at the Allstate Arena). The last DePaul win in the series came on February 16, 2000 by a score of 55-35 at the Bradley Center.
Coaches
DePaul’s Dave Leitao is in his second season with the Blue Demons and is 26-19. Leitao is 48-54 in four seasons as a head coach and is 0-2 against the Golden Eagles. Tom Crean is in his fifth season as a head coach, all at Marquette. Crean is 94-46 and 7-1 against the Blue Demons.
